Product Care

MARBLE / Use coasters under all glasses, particularly those containing alcohol or citrus juices, as acidic liquids my dull or etch the marble. Clean stone surfaces with a neutral cleaner, stone soap, or a mild liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water.  Similar to any item cleaned in your home, an excessive concentration of cleaner or soap may leave a film and cause streaks, follow manufacturer recommendations. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth.

WOOD / Using water to clean wood is not recommended.  Wood should never get wet or soaked as water can cause swelling, warping or staining if it penetrates a finish.  We encourage the use of coasters, pads, or cloths to protect against spills and water rings.   When dusting, be sure to use a clean, washable cloth made of soft, lint-free cotton.  Your cloth shouldn’t have any zippers, snaps, buttons, or thick seams as these could damage wooden surfaces.  Take into consideration the humidity of your home, as any sudden changes from hot and humid to cool and dry can cause the wood to crack.  Avoid placing your wooden pieces in direct sunlight, as the sun’s ultraviolet rays can damage a finish and bleach the wood.

METAL PLATING / Plating is a thin coat of metal applied to a base of raw steel, so any scratch or gouge could penetrate through the surface and reveal the material underneath.  Like any metal, brass, copper, or chrome can become dull and tarnish over time, but we believe that the patina our pieces develop over time is a natural evolution in the life of a product. However, if you prefer a more polished look, we recommend using a soft, microfiber cloth and work in a small, circular motion.  Be aware that polishing too aggressively can wear away plating in certain spots, so be patient and take your time.

POWDER COATING / We encourage washing powder coating with warm water and gentle dishwashing soap.  Abrasives will cause damage and should be avoided.

GLASS / Spray with household glass cleaner such as Windex and wipe with a microfiber cloth or paper towel.  Avoid streaks by working fast.

TEXTILE LIGHTING CORD / Once installed, our fabric covered cords may begin to collect dust.  To remove this dust, we recommend gently dabbing the cord with a damp cloth to remove dust particles.  Avoid rubbing, as this could cause visible damage to the fibers surrounding the cord.
